What do you expect to get out of this event?:

I would like to help raise individual awareness of the potential for this regions emerging technological market to have a massive fundamental impact on future trends and policy across the globe -- and explore ways to take advantage of this opportunity. I believe that, in Uganda, the the current lack of established precedent and consumer behavior combined with a booming market and abundance of technological alternatives capable of serving societies needs makes absolutely anything possible. Global industry recognizes this opportunity and knows that what happens here over the next decade will have a massive impact on the wider world. The question is, do we?

A greater understanding of how the I can help benefit and develop Uganda. Exchange ideas with fellow players inside and outside Uganda. Help promote free and open source software and philosophy. Brainstorm a few crazy ideas.

I would especially like to hear from people who are using social networking in creative ways, also those who are developing applications for moble.

What do you expect to get out of this event?:

I want to learn from some of the many players here in Uganda about what they have been doing or would like to do with the web, especially mobile web, or alternatively mobile texting, as a platform for creativity, learning, doing business, developing ideas, making things happen, interacting with like minded souls, and hopefully be able to see how Sir Tim and Stephane react to what they see and hear.

Exchanging ideas about the future, about possibilities, about chances to be taken, about development, about hope and fear and dreams, that is what the Internet is made for. And what we make the Internet for.
