November 23: Linux User Group Event – What will the Internet do for you?

On November 23rd, 2009 the Uganda Linux User Group (Uganda LUG) will be hosting a special event in conjunction with UNICEF. Part LUG meeting, part TEDx technology conference, the event will feature inspiring talks by technology leaders from the Ugandan ICT world and beyond.

The event will be held at the UNICEF Uganda headquarters located on George Street beginning at 9am. For directions, see our map here .

What you'll find at this event:

• A suite of short talks, demonstrations and discussion on a wide range of technology related subjects.
• Bias-free programming: No commercial, religious or political agenda
• Strict moderation
• Speakers cannot wear ties
• The event is to be filmed and broadcast on the Uganda Linux User Group website
